Down to Earth Park Slope Farmer’s Market: Shop for a wide selection of local fruits, vegetables, flowers, foods and beverages directly from the farmers and food makers every Sunday from 10AM to 5PM. Each week brings a new harvest from the farms, new items to try and rotating vendors to discover.
Meal Prep Sundays with Blue Apron: That’s why we’re putting this on your calendar now: Meal Prep Sundays with Blue Apron. Patch is partnering with the meal-delivery to take some of the stress out of the busy weeks ahead. Blue Apron will send you all the ingredients you’ll need for 2-5 meals per week, plus easy-to-follow recipe cards. You can choose to receive recipes that feed two for date night or four with the family plan.
J’ouvert, Brooklyn’s sunrise parade: The parade will begin at Grand Army Plaza and head south down Flatbush Avenue along Prospect Park. From there, it’ll head east on Empire Boulevard, turn south on Nostrand Avenue and end at Midwood Street. We put together this handy interactive map for your viewing pleasure. “[J’ouvert] is an event that is very important to the community, and about a quarter million people came,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said!
